Recover before another expedition
Talk to Mirel in Firstlight Meadow, Oren in Firstlight Square, Kessa in Stonebrook Outpost, Hask in Elderfen Watch or the wayfarer host in Rune Fen Crossing. These southern services restore all health for 3 game gold. Linn in Frostmere charges 8; Halden at the Observatory charges 12. You must be nearby and standing on safe town paving. The frontier hosts have small paved rest courts.
Full health costs nothing, and a defeated character must respawn first. Resting does not grant XP, Echo Points or token contribution. Dew Herbs remain useful for recovery while out in the field. Roofs and trees fade when they cover your character, so you can keep track of your position.
Keep your next quest in view
The quest journal separates Active, Available and Completed quests. Select Track quest to put that objective in the adventure guide. Show route selects it and opens the field map at the objective or the next unlocked passage. Select a destination and choose Walk here to request a route. Use Stop walking, WASD or Escape to cancel; choose Talk or Travel through passage separately when you arrive.
Your selected quest is remembered for this character in this browser. A completed or unavailable tracked quest falls back to another valid adventure. Quest rewards remain XP, game gold and Echo Points, separate from any planned token reward.
Read the fight
Select a nearby monster and attack within your weapon’s reach. Press T to select the nearest enemy. If it is out of range, choose Walk into weapon range or move manually. Approaching chooses one reachable position; it does not automatically chase or attack. Tap Space for one basic attack or hold Space / the Attack button to repeat at the normal cooldown. Releasing, changing targets, losing focus, moving out of range or dying ends the hold. With default bindings, use Q and R for your two discipline skills, H to consume an available herb and X to sit and rest. Herbs restore 12 health, up to your maximum.
Weapon range and line of sight matter. A bow does not shoot through solid scenery. Watch the target, your health and the attack timing; move out of dangerous marked ground instead of standing still through every attack.
After defeating a creature, move within two tiles of its drop and press F or use the Pick up button. Each action collects one nearby drop. Inventory-based quests progress when you collect the required item, not just when you defeat its carrier.
Build your character
Quests and combat grant game progression such as XP, gold and items. Equipment has requirements and different roles. Your loadout includes a weapon, headwear, body gear and an accessory; check item details before equipping or crafting.
Quest objectives may involve hunting, gathering, crafting, travelling or delivering to a different townsfolk character. Read the destination in the journal and return to the indicated person for the turn-in. The guide points to the creature habitat or resource needed while the quest is active, then to its recipient when ready. Show objective on map highlights that destination; for another region, it marks the next unlocked passage. Choose Walk here explicitly to start moving near the marker. The map does not fight, collect items or cross a passage for you.
The Broken Gate and beyond
The Broken Gate Sentinel is an early milestone. Clearing the Gate unlocks later routes and is also one requirement of the proposed weekly rewards pilot; a clear alone does not create a token entitlement.
The Sentinel warns before striking within two tiles. Farther away, Gate Echo marks your current tile for a strike after 1.5 seconds. Step off the marked tile; the mark stays where it began. Watch its ground countdown even while targeting another enemy. When the Sentinel raises its shield, dodge first and break both Gate Shards before returning to the boss.
At Echo Rift, the Rift Warden marks three different attacks and fights faster below 40% health. Active eligible contributors share its fixed XP and gold reward and can receive Rift Core crafting material. Standing near a fight without contributing is not enough. The boss returns after its respawn delay.
